Thursday Fashion

I had a little browse of the shops on Tuesday whilst Finn was in nursery which was lovely, I did miss the pushchair to hang my bags on though!

I picked up a gorgeous pair of jeans from Primark, I love the pastel pink stripe it's super flattering and makes my stumpy legs look much longer.
The bralette I'm in love with, I haven't a clue how I'll wear it or if I'm even brave enough but it's very pretty. This was £12 from Primark
Lastly I picked up this gorgeous peplum top from River Island for £28, unfortunately I'm going to have to return it as its too big but again this is very flattering, you can keep the look quite causal or dress it up. I'm hoping they have it in the size down because it looks so nice on.
Have you found any fashion finds recently?

Bourjois Dissolvant Miraculeux -

I will never be a beauty blogger, I'm one of those people that walk round with chipped nails because I can't be bothered with the faff of removing my nail varnish. Cotton wool makes me cringe and I hate them nail polish removal pads.

Enter forth the Bourjois Dissolvant Miraculeux. Oh my gosh I love it. Effectively a bottle of sponge soaked in nail varnish removal with a hole in the top which you swizzle your nail in, and, hey presto, polish free nails. I would express my undying love to it if I could. Never again will I have chipped nails with this baby.

This beaut has sweet almond oil in it, which my cuticles are very thankful for, they're in lovely condition now. It is also fragranced with red fruit and vanilla so you nails smell lovely.

It's not so fab with glitter polish but what is?

Retailing at £4.99 I shall be stocking up! I wonder if I can dip my toes?

Turning a corner

Today I started the Cambridge Diet. It has been well publicised recently, with Lauren Goodger following it. I've done this diet before, a few years ago, and I know it works super well, if you have the motivation!!

I'll do a more in depth post about what the diet involves tomorrow, but for now, here is my current inspiration stuck to my fridge!

Blogs I Love to read..

Whilst I have been absent from blogging myself, I've still be reading them!

So I thought I'd do a little post on some of my favourite blogs that I check in with daily.

I'm not really sure how I came across Mandey's blog, I don't tend to follow many American mummy blogs but this mama has the coolest twins I ever did see and I love reading her blog. She also has a pretty awesome Etsy shop selling among other things, very cute baby bow ties.

Another american mama, another cute baby! I think I came across Drea's blog through the previous blog. I really enjoy her posts on what her gorgeous daughter, Marlow, eats. It's given me some pretty good inspiration for Finn's meals. She's a cool mama and her daily posts and beautiful photos are a great read.

Beth's blog was one of the first I came across when I started reading mummy blogs and it really started my blogging passion. She has a lovely boy called Daniel Kyle and is 39 weeks pregnant with her 2nd child. She always has the most gorgeous photos to post and I love her pregnancy update, I can't wait to read her posts on her new little man.

Emma's blog was, I think, the first blog I ever came across, I loved her out of the day posts, and beauty & fashion reviews. Since then she's had a little boy called Seb, who is pretty damn cool, and is currently pregnant with her second child. She also has a baby blog here which is a great read and has some really great recipes and toy reviews.

The Yummy Mummy Diary
How I would love to be as yummy as this mummy. I love reading her short, sharp posts about her and her gorgeous daughters glamorous (to me anyway!) life!

Mummy & Bambino!
Now this mama doesn't blog very often, but I love it when she does as she's my lovely friend from down south and I love catching up with her and what he gorgeous son, Alfie, get up to! I can pretend she's chatting to me in starbucks instead of reading about her life on a screen!

Kisses 'n' smiles from me
Not that my blog can be said to inspire someone, but the lovely Clare, Ryan's cousin would tell you that it did her. Clare lives in Singapore, I introduced her to the concept of beauty boxes and now she's hooked, always blogging reviews and about gorgeous far away places.

Fashion Blogs/Beauty Blogs
I can't claim to be fashionable in any way, shape or form, however these yummy ladies are and I like to live through there blogs pretending if I had their enviably figures then I could wear what they wear!

llymlrs
Gh0st Parties
Vipxo
Hello Terri Lowe
Secret Diary of a Fashion Journalist
Sprinkle of Glitter
Vivianna Does Makeup
Bubblegarm
Pearls and Poodles

I imagine some of these blogs are standard reading for most but I hope you find a new blog here to entertain you!

Smashing post

Finley turned one on 28th May, I can't believe how quickly this year has gone, and how my teeny tiny 3lbs 13oz baby has turned into such a gorgeous little boy with the most chilled personality ever.

To celebrate we held a little party with family and friends (I'll do a separate post on that later) and we also had a Cake Smash Photo shoot.

A Cake Smash is basically where your child/baby is photographed smashing up a birthday cake. It's something I came across when I was pregnant and automatically decided that this would be what the baby would have for their 1st birthday.

After a little scout about and some fabulous recommendation from lots of mums on a group I use on facebook, we chose to have the shoot done by Jess at Jess Wilkins Photography.
I believe she only started out in February this year, but as she was so widely recommended I took the plunge and booked up. Jess was lovely, she was able to take the photos in her conservatory as we were visiting Norwich at the time and didn't have anywhere else for them to be taken.
Finn the baby that doesn't cry, screamed through 75% of the shoot, Jess was really calm and patience with him, suggesting different poses and things we could try with, and despite the tears we got a good 25 amazing photos. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her if you live in the Norwich area, and I'll definitely be going back to have a family photo shoot done at some point.

The cake was baked by my good friend Sam at The Sugarplum Bakehouse, she too has only recently started out with her own cake business but has built the business up amazingly and makes fabulous cakes. I think I should stake a claim in the business really as I helped name it!

Any hoo, I'm sure you'd like to see some photos of  my gorgeous boy, it's been a while hasn't it! He's getting more and more scrummy by the day!

As you'll be able to tell, Finn wasn't really interested in smashing the cake!
